『Processing Technology of Manufacturing High Voltage Hollow Insulator』
[Abstract] DEKUMA has been providing the perfect solution for the perfect insulator manufacturing and improving the equipment technology to solve the bottlenecks in the production of High voltage Hollow insulator. This paper focuses on trouble-shooting based on the common problems happening in the production of Hollow insulator by DEKUMA’s Rubber injection machine.
[Key words] DEKUMA Rubber injection machine; Hollow insulator; Products Defect; Solution.
During the production of Hollow insulator, we need to overcome a numbers of problems such as air entrapments (bubbles) on or in the shed, difficulty in taking out the heavy product from the press, formations of weld lines due to segment production and the material scrap is too thick, etc.
DEKUMA technology team has taken great efforts in researching and solving the above technical bottlenecks through technical enhancement and innovation.
As known, air bubble will degrade the insulation effectiveness of hollow insulator. We need to know the root cause of formation of air-entrapment through examining the processing methods. Generally speaking, there are two injection styles in producing hollow insulator:
1,Injection at single side. Injection at the single side induces the rod deviating from the center cause an asymmetry of the material wall-thickness.
2,Stagger injection from both sides: Stagger injection from both sides induces the joint points
which do not align on the parting plane, as well as bring more bubbles on the joint surface due to the hindered degassing.
